QUINTON DWANE HOLEMAN

February 21, 1927 - May 16, 1996

"Lucky" was born on February 21, 1927 in Webster County, K.Y.  He retired as a U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant who served in World War II and also the Korean War.  Lucky became a Ham in early 1977 as WD4KAN, in June of 1977 he upgraded to General, and by March 1978 he had his Advanced license.  On September 21, 1978 he became known as "KF4L".  During this time Lucky became a leading role model.  He was a real friend of ham radio operators everywhere.  Unfortunately, Lucky passed away on May 16, 1996 due to  cancer.  In his honor the C.A.T.S. Club utilizes "KF4L" as the Club call sign.
